LCAG became aware in early 2007 that the changes that will be necessary to evolve out of our dependence on fossil fuels seem so overwhelming to many people that the issue of climate change is thought of in entirely negative terms. We do not think that we can make it easy, but we found an example of a program many towns in England are using which makes the process seem like a series of step into a brighter, gentler & greener future. We are tired of negative campaigning 'against' Climate Change. To be effective against denial, demoralisation and helplessness in the face of a global problem we have to be positive, practical and people-focused. This is the way we work to convert an 'Inconvenient Truth' into a convenient opportunity to rethink, reconnect and relocalise.
