OK; so after finally working out how to use the Wiki I have started to construct the Energy Groups page. I had difficulty as I did not have the password - if you have similar problems email me. My contact details are on the site. Check it out.

I have been a little slow to get involved with the group over the past month for various reasons - one being my absence from the city over the festive period and the other the volume of other work I have been trying to get on top of. Poor excuses perhaps. Anyway, I guess that all I have to blog about so far is the wiki. Please send me any information you would like to see added, or join the group and start helping out!

The second meeting of the energy group took place last night (the minutes are here), after two of us went to see the film 'A crude awakening' which made for pretty harrowing viewing. No solutions were proposed in the film though - what about Transition Towns!?

Four people attended the meeting - we'd love for more to get on board.

We didn't really have an agenda so it took a little while to get things going but we've started preparing one for next time. I guess anyone who has any ideas can put them up here but if you don't come along to the next meeting then they might not get priority!

Overall I think it went pretty well, with decisions about concrete steps to be taken and goals that are definitely attainable in the near future.
