Food Events Launch
THE FUTURE OF OUR FOOD
on Thursday 30 April, 7.30pm in the Assembly Hall, Lambeth Town Hall (Acre Lane entrance) £2 suggested donation.

Rosie Boycott, London Food Advisor, Farmer and Campaigner
Claire Milne, Bristol's Sustainable Food Coordinator
will speak on Food Security and localising food systems in our cities.

Our current food system invests 10 calories of fossil energy to get 1 calorie of food energy out. We import more than 40% of our food. As oil and gas supplies dwindle this will present problems. The GREAT UNLEASHING - photos

Lambeth Town Hall was packed on the evening of Thursday 2 October when Transition Town Brixton held The GREAT UNLEASHING: The official start of work on our Local Energy Descent Plan. We are grateful to so many people who helped us kick off with such a bang...

photos by Amelia Gregory who also wrote a blog on the event.

At the end of the evening we began the process of visioning our good low energy future. Hundreds of ideas were generated in small group which were then stuck as leaves on a Transition Tree representing the various branches of TTB. They are viewable here and make inspiring reading

Groups are forming, meeting, planning projects, events and their part of the Local Energy Descent Plan. See here for TTB groups and a calendar of upcoming Group meetings.
